MD) - The Joseph E. Shaner Co. was recently honored for its association
management services by the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers
(MAMB). Held in conjunction with the association's 2004 Conference
and Exposition, MAMB held its Annual Award Ceremonies at the Center
Club in Baltimore on Tuesday, March 16. "Thomas Shaner and Traci Snyder have been instrumental in our association's growth," said Child. "They don't get any headlines, but they provide us with world-class service and I really don't know where we would be without them and the whole Shaner staff. This recognition has been long overdue." "We are honored to receive this recognition," said Thomas Shaner, principal of The Joseph E. Shaner Co. "This award is especially meaningful when one considers what a first-rate organization MAMB and its members are and all of the other candidates that are also so deserving." The award ceremonies took place on the first day of the 2004 MAMB Convention for which more than 1,200 mortgage professionals and affiliates were in attendance. MAMB leaders are already at work planning the 2005 MAMB Annual Convention and Exposition. Established

associations including the American Institute of Floral Designers,

Brokers, Maryland Improvement Contractors Association and the Chesapeake
Human Resources Association. Also served by the Shaner organization are the Building Owners and Managers Association of Baltimore; the Maryland Chapters of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, Appraisal Institute, Criminal Defense Attorneys and Public Relations Society of America; Property Owners Association of Baltimore, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Baltimore and the Baltimore City Dental Society. ###

President Joseph Child of First Republic Mortgage Corp. in Annapolis
presented his President’s Award to Thomas C. Shaner, CAE, and
Traci Snyder and in so doing paid special recognition to The Joseph
E. Shaner Co. which provides full management services to MAMB. Mr.
Shaner serves the client as executive director and Ms. Snyder serves
as the associate executive director and director of meetings and membership.
