Joseph E. Shaner Company Provides Facelift for
Professional Grounds Management Society Web Site

(Baltimore, MD) - The Joseph E. Shaner Company (JES), an ASAE accredited association management company, has given the Professional Ground Management Society's (PGMS) Web site a face lift. The new PGMS.org offers enhanced navigation and a new member area offering additional member benefits.

"We're proud to unveil the new PGMS.org which provides in-demand resources and benefits to our membership," said JES principal and PGMS Executive Director Thomas C. Shaner, CAE. "PGMS.org is now an interactive communications tool serving as a useful knowledge source for Green Industry Professionals."

Member area features include the PGMS Knowledge Center, job listings, an online discussion forum, an archive of past issues of PGMS Forum, and an online membership directory. The PGMS Knowledge Center offers a wealth of educational articles on many aspects of grounds management. This section will be continually updated to reflect the vast source of knowledge that PGMS members possess.

Other new features include a calendar of events, online membership applications, and an online publications store. Improvements in the site's navigation include rollover menu bars, search functions and a site map. In addition to enhanced navigation, the site also features improved aesthetics reflecting the work and talents of PGMS members.

The Joseph E. Shaner Co. in Baltimore has been named by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) as one of only 28 association management companies (AMC) nationwide to have met the standards of practice set by the ASAE AMC Accreditation Commission.

Established in 1974 by Thomas C. Shaner, a Certified Association Executive (CAE), The Joseph E. Shaner Co. provides association management services to over a dozen prominently recognized non-profit trade and professional associations including the American Institute of Floral Designers, Professional Grounds Management Society, Maryland Optometric Association, Maryland Chiropractic Association, Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers, Maryland Improvement Contractors Association and the Chesapeake Human Resources Association.
