MD) - The Joseph E. Shaner Co. has been recognized for outstanding
achievement by the Maryland Society of Association Executives (MSAE).
The company's work on the Maryland Optometric Association's (MOA)
Web site, Marylandeyes.com, was selected as the most outstanding project
in the Web sites category of MSAE's 2003 Circle of Excellence Awards
program. "MSAE's Circle of Excellence Awards recognize Maryland-based associations for exemplary work done on behalf of their members or the community," says MSAE President Sherry Smith. "MarylandEyes.com set a standard for which other associations should strive and can certainly be counted among Maryland's finest." "The Joseph E. Shaner Co. is honored to receive the Circle of Excellence Award, which highlights associations for the execution and impact of their programs," says Thomas Shaner, principal of The Joseph E. In addition to being honored for its work on MOA's Web site, The Joseph E. Shaner Co., which provides various association management services for MOA, also garnered an honor award from MSAE for its work on the Maryland Improvement Contractors Association Web site, MarylandRemodelers.com. E. Shaner Co. was also recently honored by the American Chiropractic
Association (ACA) for its work on the MCA Journal, the bimonthly newsletter
for the Maryland Chiropractic Association. The MCA Journal was recognized
as Best Single Issue and Most Improved Journal in ACA's 2003 State
Association Journalism and Web Site Awards competition. Established
