Accreditation

In 2001, The Joseph E. Shaner Company (JES) was honored to be named one of the first Association Management Companies in the country to be granted the coveted Charter status as an Accredited Association Management Company by the American Society of Association Executives. JES was accredited by the accreditation program for the period January 1, 2002 until dissolution of the program, effective December 31, 2010.

We also maintain active memberships in other professional organizations including, the Maryland Society of Association Executives (MSAE) and the Maryland and U.S. Chambers of Commerce. Staff association executives are required to complete the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institutes for Organization Management. In addition, staff members are focused on bettering the associations they serve and attend a variety of seminars, workshops and other educational programs of ASAE, MSAE and other organizations.
