Jennifer
C. Thornton - Account Executive and Association Coordinator
Jennifer C. Thornton has been employed at JES since 1993 and currently
serves as Executive Director for three associations: Building Owners
and Managers Association of Baltimore, National Association of Insurance
and Financial Advisors of Baltimore, and Chesapeake Human Resources
Association. Her role with the client is tailored to the specific
needs of each group, which is a benefit of the personal attention
received at JES. Overall, she assists the Board of Directors and members
in fulfilling the mission of the association through volunteer coordination,
guidance in budgeting and board issues, conference and event planning,
and general administration.
Ms. Thornton
brings to her clients a strong commitment to association management.
She is a 1999 graduate of the Institutes for Organization Management,
a six-year program designed to increase knowledge in all areas of
association management including managing change, volunteer development,
staff management, and leadership skills. She is a former board member
and program chairman of the Maryland Society of Association Executives.
Ms. Thornton has a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications with a
concentration in public relations from Towson University.
Deitra
J. Davenport

Coordinator
Deitra
Davenport
has been working at JES since 1989. Ms. Alford provides membership
services and works on educational seminars, annual directories, monthly
meetings, Web sites, and conference planning for the Building Owners
and Managers Association of Baltimore, the Chesapeake Human Resources
Association and the National Association of Insurance and Financial
Advisors of Baltimore.
She
also provides customer services for all association members, particularly
in member renewals and updating member records.
Sharon
H . Kneebone

Executive and Association Coordinator
Sharon H. Kneebone has been employed at JES since 1998, and currently
serves as Executive Director for three associations: Maryland Chapter
of the Appraisal Institute, Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association
and Public Relations Society of America Maryland Chapter. As Executive
Director for the client, her role is to work with the board to achieve
their specific goals . She assists the Board of Directors and members
through volunteer coordination, education coordination, guidance in
budgeting and convention and meeting planning. Ms. Kneebone also serves
as the education administrator for the Maryland Chiropractic Association
and the Maryland Optometric Association. Her responsibilities include
coordinating with the education committee chairs, filing for education
credits, and planning the meetings. Sharon also serves as a meeting
planner for the Maryland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial
and Office Properties.
Ms. Kneebone
brings to her clients a strong background in marketing and public
relations as well as a strong commitment to association management.
She is enrolled to begin studies in the Institutes for Organization
Management, an intensive program to increase knowledge in all areas
of association management. Ms. Kneebone holds a bachelor's degree
in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations.
Traci
D. Snyder

Executive and Association Coordinator
Traci D. Snyder has been with JES since 1995. She serves as executive
director of the Baltimore City Dental Society assisting the Board
of Directors in decision-making, planning quarterly meetings and handling
peer review inquiries. Traci also serves as associate director for
the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers, the Maryland Improvement
Contractors Association, and the Property Owners Association of Greater
Baltimore, Inc. Traci also serves as membership coordinator for the
American Institute of Floral Designers and trade show coordinator
for the Professionals Grounds Management Society.
Ms. Snyder
brings to her clients a strong commitment to association management.
She is a graduate of the Institutes for Organization Management, a
six-year program designed to increase knowledge in all areas of association
management including managing change, volunteer development, staff
management, and leadership skills. Snyder graduated from Towson University
with a bachelor's degree in English literature.
Heather
R. Waldschmidt
- Assistant
Coordinator
Heather R. Waldschmidt duties for the Professional Grounds Management
Society (PGMS) includes working on scholarships, awards, certification
and membership. She also assists with conference and seminar planning,
writes newsletter articles, and assists with development of client
directories for PGMS, the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers,
the Maryland Optometric Association, the Maryland Chiropractic Association,
the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys' Association, the Maryland
Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, the Maryland Chapter
of the Appraisal Institute, the Maryland Chapter of the National Association
of Industrial and Office Properties, and the Property Owners Association
of Greater Baltimore, Inc.
Ms.
Waldschmidt is a 1998 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa
with a bachelor's degree in history. Prior to joining JES she enjoyed
two years of employment in the U.S. Senate.
Eric
M. Grammer
- Communications
Coordinator
As
communications coordinator, Eric M. Grammer designed and manages JEShaner.com
as well as client Web sites for the American
Institute of Floral Design (AIFD), the Professional
Grounds Management Society (PGMS), the Maryland
Chiropractic Association (MCA), the Maryland
Optometric Association (MOA), the Maryland
Improvement Contractors Association (MICA), the Maryland
Chapter of the Appraisal Institute, the Maryland
Chapter of NAIOP (NAIOP-MD), the Maryland
Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB), the Property
Owners Association of Greater Baltimore (POA). He also is responsible
for production of client newsletters and media relations for AIFD,
PGMS, MCA, MOA, the Property Owners Association of Greater Baltimore,
Inc. and the Maryland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial
and Office Parks.
Grammer
previously handled Webmaster and public relations duties as editorial
coordinator at the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
He has an M.A. in communication from the University of Maryland and
a B.A. in journalism from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA.
Grammer has been honored by the Public Relations Society of America
(PRSA) with the 2001 Betsy Plank Graduate Research Award and by the
Maryland Chapter of PRSA with the 2001 John Felton Graduate Research
Award.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Monica
Shaner - Financial/Systems Manager
Monica Shaner has worked at JES since 1989. As financial manager for
JES and all of its clients she oversees the preparation of client
financial statements, arranges for the investment of excess reserves,
and maintains communications with client treasurers. She is also responsible
for the day-to-day operation of JES including the purchase and maintenance
of computer equipment, ensuring that all needed systems are in place
and working properly, and overall company administration (human resources,
insurance, 401k, etc.).
Susan
Posluszny
- Bookkeeper
Susan Posluszny has been a JES employee since 1994. Susan's duties
include filing, writing account payable checks, personal property
tax forms, bank deposits, bank statements reconciliation and lending
a hand wherever help is needed. Prior to joining JES, Susan worked
more than 20 years in accounting, performing payroll taxes, processing
accounts payable and recievables, and processing financial statements.

J. Davenport

Deitra
Davenport has been a JES employee since 1989. She serves as membership
coordinator for eight local professional and two national associations.
She also provides customer services for all association members, particularly
in member renewals and updating member records.
Raymond
H. Simpson Jr.
- Mail
Room Manager
Raymond H. Simpson is the mail room manager for all JES client associations.
He oversees the labeling and mailing of brochures, newsletters, correspondence,
etc., in addition to operating the copy machine according to each
association's assignment. He is also responsible fro inventory of
association stationery and miscellaneous office supplies.
Janice
T. Tourangeau - Data
Processing Assistant/Receptionist
Janice Tourangeau
has
been been with JES since 1991. She serves as registration coordinator
processing meeting registrations for all association clients. As receptionist,
she handles over 14 phone lines.
